The best man organised an adventure weekend in Wales on the 2nd-4th June. There's a page of detailed information that was provided to attendees.
The evening kicked off with 8 of Caroline's friends meeting her for cocktails in the Elk Bar on Fulham Broadway in London. As it was Happy Hour when we arrived, everyone (including Caroline!) made the most of the cocktails on offer! Caroline gave us all pink sparkly bracelets, and we toasted her last few weeks as a singleton!
After negotiating a stream, two bridges and several large tropical trees inside The Blue Elephant restaurant on Fulham Broadway, we were seated at a large round table with Caroline at the helm. The time was right to don Caroline in a "Miss World" type "Bride to Be" sash complete with fairy bride wand which Caroline wore with enthusiasm - swish! The Blue Elephant produced a wonderful array of Thai food for our delectation and everyone got stuck into a main course and pudding. ...ahh the puddings!!!!
During the meal the girls had a little surprise for Caroline. In secret during the previous week, Caroline's very sporting hubby-to-be J-P had answered a list of questions (eg. what is your favourite place? If you could have one superpower what would it be?) which Caroline had to guess the answers to. Unfortunately for every question she got wrong there was an interesting forfeit for her to do! Her challenge was made somewhat trickier by the naughtier members of the group adding in some of their own questions! Despite this, Caroline still did very well somehow managing to get over 65% correct. Well done Caz (and J-P!). The girls reckon you're perfectly matched.
After the meal we rolled down to The Nectar Bar, a club on The Kings Road, where we enjoyed more cocktails and a good old boogie on the dance floor late into the night.
The last event of the weekend saw Caroline, Mary and Rachel attending a chocolate making workshop in Notting Hill. Kicking and screaming (not!) we learned all about the joys of chocolate from a professional chocolate maker. We then made as many chocolate dipped truffles and fudges as fast as we could to take home! Caroline loved licking the spoon from the chocolate bowl - the perfect way to finish her hen weekend!!!
